Pauline Randles from LINK HILLS PHARMACY in Waterfall KZN explains that some of the medicines used to treat hay fever can make you drowsy and affect your vision which may cause danger should you drive.
Link bought the name “Pharmacare” from a Durban pharmacist, to be used as the name for its in-pharmacy nursing services (clinic based); this name was subsequently taken over by a devision of SAD, which is today Aspen Pharmacare.
In a service that lasted many years, Link was the first retail pharmacy to introduce a credit card, which also gave previously disadvantaged citizens the opportunity of having a credit card for the very first time.
Many of the original members who signed up in 1979 are still very active in the organization, having been with Link pharmacies for 30 years.
