Link pharmacy is synonymous with making people feel better. For nearly three decades, mothers – and sometimes fathers – have looked to the blue, red and white logo as guidance for colds, headaches, bruises and sound advice from the well – informed pharmacists.
Link has grown from a handful of pharmacies, to a nationwide establishment, due to its dedication to giving sound advice and the best medicine. The group boosts over 200 locations in Southern Africa, accessible to most of the 46 million South Africans.

Link bought the name “Pharmacare” from a Durban pharmacist, to be used as the name for its in-pharmacy nursing services (clinic based); this name was subsequently taken over by a devision of SAD, which is today Aspen Pharmacare.
In a service that lasted many years, Link was the first retail pharmacy to introduce a credit card, which also gave previously disadvantaged citizens the opportunity of having a credit card for the very first time.
Many of the original members who signed up in 1979 are still very active in the organization, having been with Link pharmacies for 30 years.
